Christening
Dress with Slip
C.
1950
A
lovely batiste christening ensemble. Features a front panel made
from one piece of cotton, brought together at the top with tiny rows of
sweet pintucks. Here and there, delicate
sprigs and wreaths of pretty flowers have been embroidered on the front
of the dress, the puffy sleeves, and on the slip. Both hems have been
cut into wide scallops and finished with cotton lace. The dress and slip
are just about the same length; the effect together is sweet and fluffy. The neck and arm edges of the slip are finished
with small embroidered scallops. This dress was hand made by the Alfred
Leon Company. Superb condition. #040501A
