PAYPAL: Paypal is a
free, simple, secure online payment service through which you can pay with a credit card,
a debit card, or a checking account. You may have seen it in use on ebay where
many buyers and sellers actually prefer this method. It works great! Mrs. Bird is a registered
Paypal seller. If you select the Paypal method, our email

All of our garments are one-of-a-kind and are sold on a first come first serve basis. Though every effort is made to keep our site up to date on a daily basis, before purchasing, please email us at orders@mrsbird.net to make sure the clothing you want is still available. Be sure to include item # and description. Payment must be received within 10 days of placing an order. We accept checks, money orders, and Paypal. All payments must be in U.S. dollars.

CREDIT CARD: We can accept credit card payments through the PayPal service, (button above and below). We have decided to do it this way because it is so simple and because we don't have to work in extra costs for credit card machinery.
SALES TAX: California residents, please add 7.75% sales tax.
SHIPPING OF GARMENTS:
Items are shipped by Priority mail with delivery confirmation. If you need overnight delivery via FedEx, or prefer another shipping method, please let us know, and we will be able to accommodate you. We have sent several christening gowns overnight!
PRICING AND SHIPPING OF ITEMS TO BE CLEANED/RESTORED: Please mail the garment to us via a method that requires a signature on our end. This would include UPS, FedEx, or Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. After receiving the garment, we can email or call you with an assessment of the project, the actual cost, and any other pertinent information before proceeding. SIZES: Most of our clothes have no tags, let alone size tags, as many were specially and uniquely hand made as heirloom garments. Also, in order to allow for size variation amongst clothing and children, we have measured everything. Please compare the measurements to the size of the child for whom you are buying, and then leave a little extra comfort room.
RETURNS/REFUNDS: As this is a strictly internet business, operating from a home studio, we do our best to offer detailed and helpful descriptions, measurements, and sizing information on the web site. Please consider them carefully before purchasing a garment and please feel free to email or call with any questions to ensure that you will love what you purchase, and that it will fit!. We do understand, however, that not everything can be foreseen, and that occasionally a return is necessary.
* In order to protect these special and beautiful garments, we must be notified that you need to make a return within 24 hours of confirmed receipt of the item.
* Any returned item must be received in exactly the same condition as it was sent. The item must be returned immediately (sent within 24 hours of above notification) via Priority mail with delivery confirmation or another method which we sign for on our end (UPS, Fed Ex). The returned item must be insured for the full amount. You are liable for the cost until we receive it.
* We can not accept items for which these conditions are not met.
CONDITION: Please remember that these are antique and vintage garments, most of which have been worn.. Though we only puchase high quality garments in excellent condition, many of the garments are more fragile than new garments (On the other hand, one of the reasons the garments have lasted this long is that they were made so well.!) Everything is clean and fresh, and can be worn immediately. Keep in mind, that many of the clothes are more than 100 years old, and that you may on very very close inspection encounter some minor flaws. The clothes are so beautiful and clean, however, that it is generally hard to believe they are as old as they are.
