Christening
Gown of Windowpane Cotton
C.1915
This
christening gown features a rounded yoke of embroidered lawn, sewn to a
dress of crisp, snowy white, windowpane cotton. The ruffle and lace
insertion are slightly heavier cotton than
usual, making for a good match of weight with the windowpane cotton. Just
above the final ruffle, silk ribbon has been laced around the
circumference of the skirt. A lighter cotton lace adorns the long-sleeve
cuffs and neck. Two lovely antique buttons close the back. Superb
condition. #040434.
