English Christening Gown c.1910.

Stately elegant gown. Combination of machine stitching and hand stitching. Nine handstitched narrow pintucks at bottom over a rather formal band of lace. Waistband beautifully embroidered with a tight row of double featherstitches.  Cotton lace trim at neck and sleeve cuffs. Beautiful back closure with two adjustable cotton ties in addition to three buttons with thread loops and vertical pleats of cotton leading to the middle .Superb condtion.   #120103C. #165.00.

Top of shoulder to hem:  35  inches.

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam:  8 inches 

Sleeve length:  6-1/2 inches.

Underarm chest circumference:  18  inches.

Waist circumference:  16 inches.

Sleeve cuff circumference (at narrowest point): 5  inches

Hem circumference: 73  inches.
