Sheer English Christening Gown

C. 1920

A very sweet, dainty, uncomplicated dress made from white batiste. Embroidered bodice, machine-embroidered skirt, narrow cotton trim at neck and sleeves. Beautiful fancy scalloped hem. The shoulders and chest would be suitable for a larger baby (double check the sleeve cuffs, however, as they are not as roomy). Hemstitching provides a lovely detail at shoulders. French seams. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam:   10-1/2  inches 

Neck circumference:  14-1/2  inches.

Underarm chest circumference: 26 inches.

Armhole circumference:  9 inches.

Sleeve cuff circumference:  6 inches

Sleeve Length:  6-1/4

Hem circumference:  50 inches.
