Light Cotton Gown with Embroidered Flowers

This is a lovely, simply-shaped, light, crisp dress. Splashes of hand-embroidered and cut-out flowers throughout the front panel are its most beautiful feature. These flowers are also embroidered on each sleeve. A colored slip would look so pretty peeking through. The cuffs gather with cotton drawstring ties and the dress ties in back with two sets of white silk ribbons, which have been added. Lots of pretty cotton lace which repeat the flower design adorn the scalloped hem, cuffs, neck, and in two strips outlining the middle panel. Constructed by machine. Embroidery by hand.
