Heavy
Cotton Christening Gown from England
c.1900
This
is a refreshingly roomy and durable gown, very pretty. Bands of cotton
lace on the bodice, puffy sleeves, Valenciennes lace at the hem, and
many narrow pintucks provide the embellishment. Abundant crisp heavy
cotton at the skirt. Some light featherstitching around the narrow waist
band and neck. Joyful and confident. Entirely hand stitched. Closes with
three buttons and two cotton ties, one at neck and one at waist. Superb
condition. #081000B. #180.00
